I have great news to share. A good friend who has been helping me market my new book, has created a show for aspiring authors to be on television and follow their dreams of being discovered. The prized include a 1 book deal among other prizes.

Shadow Play Entertainment, Innovations, Inc. and their partners in encouraging literacy throughout the United States are pleased to announce a new project that is sure to not only encourage creativity but provide encouragement and assistance to those who are looking to make it in the world of publishing. Introducing "The Write Stuff", a new reality show designed to assist individuals in their quest to better understand how to get their work recognized as well as network with those who have made it in the industry.
Created by Cyrus A. Webb (Shadow Play Entertainment/Conversations Book Club) and Zane Bell (Innovations, Inc.), the show will take fourteen (14) contestants who have drive, ambition and the willingness to succeed through 12 weeks of challenges that will prepare them for the competitive literary world that they want to be a part of. Whether their desire is to be the next big thing as a playwrite, spoken word artist or penning the next bestseller, "The Write Stuff" will put them in the faces of those who can make it happen.
Beginning in January 2009, 3 minute Youtube video applications will be accepted through the designated channel (http://www.youtube.com/thewritestufftv) as well as in-person auditions will take place in five key cities which will guarantee opportunities for individuals throughout the country to participate. A panel of literary professionals, including nationally recognized publishers and bestselling authors, as well as book lovers will be on hand to help narrow down the search for the actual cast. Thousands are expected to answer the call, but in the end twenty (20) will be selected to begin taping in March 2009. Applicants are responsible for making their own arrangements to attend auditions. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2009 (Jackson, MS) --- 10-4p.m. @ Medgar Evers Library * 4215 Medgar Evers Blvd * Jackson, MS 39208 "The Write Stuff" will air in select cities on the CW channel beginning in June 2009, however, all espisodes will air weekly online at http://www.youtube.com/thewritestufftv. As new markets open, previous episodes will be re-aired.
